Why you need to book your golden hour early
Golden hour is the short stretch before sunset when the light turns soft and warm. It flatters skin, shows muscle tone without harsh shadows, and makes the water and sand glow. Midday sun does the opposite: squinting, hard shadows and blown-out skies.
The catch is that there is only one golden hour each evening. In a Sydney summer the sun sets around 8pm, so the best light lasts roughly an hour before that. We only book one beach session into each sunset window, which means every evening is a single slot. Weekends, December dates and the weeks before Christmas and New Year fill first.
That is why we ask for a $50 deposit to hold your preferred date. It is not an extra fee. It comes off your package, and it puts your request ahead of anyone who has not reserved yet.

2. We confirm your date, time and beach
We check the schedule and sunset time for your date, then recommend a beach that suits the look you want. Your booking is locked in once we send written confirmation.
3. Plan your looks
We talk through swimwear, colours and the mood you are after (sporty, clean editorial or soft glamour), so you arrive knowing exactly what to bring.
4. Shoot at golden hour
You will be guided through every pose, angle and movement for 90 minutes. You do not need any modelling experience.

How much does a beach photoshoot cost in Sydney?
Our Sydney summer beach sessions start at $550 for 90 minutes, with other packages and custom options available. The $50 deposit is part of that price, not on top of it. We confirm your package, what is included and the remaining balance before your booking is final. Beaches outside our standard area may have a travel fee, and we will always tell you before you confirm.
What to bring to a bikini or swimwear shoot
Two to three swimwear looks: one favourite "hero" piece, plus a second colour or a one-piece for variety.
Something light to layer, like a sheer cover-up, an oversized shirt or a simple accessory.
Pieces that fit securely, so you can move, walk into the water and pose with confidence.
A towel, water and a warm layer for after sunset, when the beach cools down quickly.

When is the best time for a beach photoshoot in Sydney?
Golden hour, the last hour or so before sunset. In summer that usually means an early-evening start. We set your exact time from the sunset on your date.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Each evening has only one golden-hour slot, and weekends and December fill first. Reserving with the $50 deposit holds your place in the queue for your preferred date.
Is the $50 deposit refundable?
The deposit comes off your package. If we cannot offer your requested date, we will suggest alternatives or arrange an appropriate resolution, including a refund where applicable. Cancelling a confirmed booking generally means the deposit is non-refundable, subject to Australian Consumer Law. Full terms are on the beach sessions page.
What if the weather is bad?
If rain, strong wind or unsafe surf make the beach unsuitable, we contact you and move your session to another date. Your deposit transfers with it.
I have never modelled. Will I know how to pose?
Yes. You will be directed on posture, hands, angles and expression the whole session. No modelling experience is needed.
